I would read it. I'm sure somewhere out there; such a book exists. I'm just starting the divorce process and am looking for support. I understand it's a grief process and I'll go through stages. I remember when my father died, I found a book that had lots of people who lost their fathers; and what helped them. That helped me a lot. Later I sent the book to a friend after he lost his father. I also went to a grief support group after Dad died. It helped to hear others share what was helping them. I'm looking for a local divorce support group.

No. When it comes to divorce people need to vent. They only half listen to others, trying to pick out something that might work for them. Something to ease the pain they themselves are in. Mostly they want an ear. Books dont have ears.

Books are great but people need to interact and talk, be heard to heal and move on. There already plenty of books addressing all the issues you mention and look where we all are: DS, support groups, counseling, Divorce Care, NEw bBeginning, etc... People need people. Valuable topic tho. Thanks.

Interesting replies so far...I think some may be misunderstanding what I am talking about here...I'm not talking about another self-help book where someone attempts to tell us how we should handle issues or what we may be experiencing and how to work through it.

My thought was to take real-life experiences and simply share the story directly from the horses mouth (so to speak) with people who are experiencing or have experienced the same thing. In essence, when we (as I did here on DS in the beginning) vent and rant and rave, we are just looking for support, someone else who has gone through the pain and turmoil divorce brings. I know for me reading about someones successful passage through those turbulent waters helped me on more than one occasion...and I thought it would help others...
