So, on Tuesday, my divorce was finalized by the court. I desperately wanted to go on my Facebook, Twitter, and a mountaintop and post/shout for the world to hear, but for the sake of my 16 year old daughter, I didn't do that. So, I'm saying it here - FINALLY! After 25 years with my cheating husband, trying to make it work time after time, I divorced him, and it's DONE! There are still things to be worked out... taking names off vehicle titles, splitting the auto insurance policy, and a few other details, plus we will continue to co-parent our daughter. But, I don't have to listen to his BS anymore or deal with his lies. I can be my own person without having to fake being happy or hide from those who knew the lies I was living. He is no longer my stbx - he is my EX!

I have been divorced for almost a year and can tell you that this is where the future begins...the happiness will start flowing and you will have an amazing life!
I picked up the packet of forms from the courthouse to begin the divorce process today. I never thought my name would be on them. I am really looking forward the day it is final, so I can start my new life.
