Tomorrow will be the start of week 3 since he told me he wants a divorce. I'm finding I'm getting by ok.I asked him not to call or text me again the last time we spoke. He made it my responsibility to separate all of our joint accounts ( luckily there wasn't too many) Our apartment is being sold and everything needs to be out by the end of the month, so I need to go and get the rest of my things. I just know than even though I'm doing okay now, As soon as I hear or see him I'm going to crumble to pieces again. I know he's doing fine, good even because he told me so and I just don't want to break down in front of him. I still love and miss him terribly and I'm just trying to make it stop. I'm trying to stay busy and keep my mind off of everything, but of course that's not always possible. I still haven't told all of my family. People that I have told just give me pitty looks, and treat me like I'm a stray dog. I just feel like nobody I know has any idea what I am going through and it makes me feel pretty alone going through it all.

K8tlyn820--I am sorry you are going through this. I am in the same boat. I actually saw my spouse today. He is wanting to pursue with selling our house and I pretty much told him that I felt like he has discarded me like trash and that our relationship never existed. Unfortunately, I broke down today because its like I want him to see the hurt and pain I experience. Yes, I have come a long way since we first split up but it still hurts because I hate to say it, it is because I still love him and I miss him. I know that time will heal these wounds but at the present moment, it hurts. Sending lots of hugs your way. I am here if you want to talk.

You are not alone I'm three weeks into the same horrible situation and found this site ... it does help a lot to know other people are recovering from this...we will all be fine I guess it's just gonna take time …guess this is how we find out how strong we are … sending hugs

Keep reaching out, there is no shame in being
Honest whats going on. It will only further isolate
You. Go to therapy, join support groups, let yourself
grieve your Losses.

No man is an island, we all need help and support
When life throws curve balls and is unfair. I was on
Bottom and i crawled my way up and out.

It sounds Like your stbx is a checked out spouse.
Is he having a affair too? Often they are, as a way
Out and they don't want to be alone.

I hope you have some type of legal counsel outside
Of your stbx who definitely won't have your best
interest at Heart. HUGS
