Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
I’ve read through most everyone’s response and as another asked, I’m curious if you and your H have sought any counseling during this time? Finding a good MC isn’t easy, but they ARE out there -if you need help finding one, I may be able to help you with this. With the guidance of a professional he/she will equip both parties with the necessary skills to better communicate, as well as how to work through “the blame game.” That your H is now expressing a desire to keep the marriage intact, doesn’t really surprise me – of course one can’t help but wonder – why now? IMO often times it might take a drastic measure for one to really see the serious of a situation. Verbalizing divorce for many would be that drastic measure. Do you think this might be a possibility?
I must confess that as an advocate of family and marriage, it is my hope that every couple explore all options to reconnect and heal. I do realize there are circumstances where a marriage many not be salvageable. However, from my POV, if there is the slightest possibility of reconciliation, it is worth it!
Would you consider getting involved with a group seminar/workshop focused on couples in crisis such as a marriage intensive? There are some that do have financial assistance for those who need it. I have witnessed couples on the brink of divorce who with counseling, a good support system, hope and faith, are now experiencing a joyful marriage.
I will be praying for you and your marriage. God is mighty and can do mighty things!
