Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
I'm still friends with a few of my ex's. And in nearly every case, it took months (or in one case, 3 years) after we'd broken up before we talked to each other again. And by then, all the feelings were gone.
Take some time to take care of yourself. I would personally block and delete his number so you aren't tempted to contact him again. This isn't your fault. There's no way "you should have acted". He's just a manipulative person and you deserve better
If they a good enough reasons to be exes than they are good enough reasons to not be friends
I agree with Fading, that you should delete his number. I read your other posts and you don't have kids together so it doesn't seem necessary to stay in contact with each other since he doesn't truly care about you. It's sad that someone would treat someone like he is treating you, but he probably doesn't have much love or respect for himself.
I really feel for you because I know how it feels to want someone and not have those feelings returned. You deserve someone that will make plans to be with you not make excuses to not be with you. His actions are pretty loud and clear, but you choose to see what you want to see.
Stay strong!! :)
Yeah we don't have kids together although he already has a kid.
This happened to me three months ago its just been hard for me to get over.....
I do feel as though he used me...it was just hard for me not to blame myself because he asked me to marry him and told me to move in and all of this other stuff.
I feel like he just said all of it to manipulate me.
if someone hit your car, you wouldn't blame yourself. you are not to blame here. some guys are just pricks. they will abuse and manipulate you. that is not a reflection on you. you seem like a very sweet, kind-hearted girl. you will find a good guy. but until you get this jackass completely out of your life, you can't fully prepare yourself to meet that "good man"
I'm sorry if its appeared irritating. I just think about these things every day and this website is a way for me to vent. I hope by sharing my thoughts I am connecting to some of you who have gone through similar experiences
no children, no property, everything is over. You need to let this one go. He's not healthy for you. Obviously because you jumped back into the sack with him, you cannot be friends, you don't want to be friends You want the relationship.
Cut him loose for your own peace of mind. Don't text. Unless you want to get laid.
Now I don't know all of you situation but Im going to tell you mine and mabey being I am te one who broke things off and you are on the reciveing end Im going to share my reasons and why I did what I did in hope it helps you nothing more nothing less.
Im 37 yrs of age my ex is 42 , when we first met it seemed like a fairy tale come true until I really got to know him better then he became my worst nightmare, now im not saying in any way shape or form u became this to youre ex rember im telling you why i did what did.
Long storey short I broke it off with him thruout the relationship before this time and as always hed always beg for me back and at the time i felt sorry for him and took him back,in hopes he'd change. The problom was his actions and behaver only got worse everytime ! this went on and on until his actions and behaver got so bad and he had tons of isssues on top of it all ...it was time I took a good look at what I really wanted here I had had enough of his BS and childish ways..
So Itis time when I broke up with him I took alot of time to think and came to the relazation he is not at all what i want in my life we are headed in totally 2 diffrent directions in life and sadley hes not who i want to be with anymore and thats just the bottom line, not sure how old u are but im 37 life in my eyes is too short to wake up later and say why did i stay when i was not happy , when its a big world out there and everyone deserves happyniess.
what I did diffrently this time is when text i made it very very clear each and everytime to him that we are done and told him the truth i feel out of love with him, i never cheated there was no one else just me i plainley just fell out of love with him and when hed text again id stick to my guns and tell him my true feelings again that i was done and im not comeing back this time, when he kept texting i had to ignore him because he plainley just wasent or didnt want to get it,it hurt me that i had to hurt him but everytime when i did take him back his promises to change never happened he just got worse....
So my advice to u here is u need to take a good look at youre relationship and seriousley sort thru what happened and whats happening now... mabey u are a great person and hes the one with the problom i don't know only u know but at the same time if he truely wants to be finished with you i agree its not fair he does what he does he needs to make it clear hes done or not sometimes ignoreing text is a plain sign somethings wrong and he just dosent want to be bothered as much as it may hurt.
I wish you the best of luck take care! (((Hugs)))
I think if he wad truly a kind, loving person maybe he would have found my texts annoying but he would have at least made things clear to me or would have refrained from asking to see me again, understanding that the breakup was hard for me....
Just remember, he's not responsible for how you feel when he responds to your text. It's not up to him to think that "oh she still into me it would hurt her if I responded" he was probably bored Had nothing else to do. And figured why not?
I'll reiterate, stop contacting him, you can't get over him until you leave him alone.
