I was hauling freight in that picture (doing about 7 knots). I was sailing dead downwind in 25 knots of true wind and 4-5 foot waves. yeehaa.....It was a ride that day. I sailed about 60 miles that day.

Well I figured out how to get a new one too...I am becoming a real DSer now.. :)

You see. I secretely decided to Maroon my wife on a small island in the Chesapeake Bay since she decided to leave me (that is the penality for mutany aboard a pirate ship). So I put her in the long boat and left her on the island with a lap top, an air card, and a digital camera. I told her that I would go back and get her someday if she took a picture of the boat as it sailed away. I guess that she is wondering when I am coming back.....should have known her nauticle history...

Seriously...My Aunt and Uncle were sailing along behind me and they took the pic. It is an amazing pic considering that the boats were really rocking and rolling (we were surfing 5 foot waves sometimes).
