Hi
This is my first time on this site. Just am feeling a bit low. My wife and I have know each other for about 8 years and been married for 5. This is my second wife and I have kids, she has none. Age difference is about 13 years . Shortly before we got married I found out that her Mom had been married 11 times! I did not read anything into this however she had an affair after about 2 years into our marriage and went through intensive psycho therapy. She then begged to come back. I allowed her back after initially kicking her out the house. 2 years later...same thing again and this time I again kicked her out. She begged and pleaded and I gave in and allowed her back. We have been together for 2 years since then and now she has left me and written to me and said that she wants a divorce. Not sure where she is however wrote to me the other day and said she still loves me etc etc and would like to try again. The next day i got the letter asking for a divorce despite there being no further contact between us from receipt of her letter. I come from a family whose Mom and Dad were married for 50 years, we are stable etc etc. I have read many things about chaos kids and the impact that your childhood has on your marriage. . part of what I have read is that the more troubled your childhood the shorter your marriage. IS this true? I have also read that with chaos kids that they are constantly looking for validation if they have no father figure in her life (she has a sister and brother by other men). Also read that chaos kids:1. Do not mean what they say and do not say what they mean. 2. Present themselves as someone they are not. 3. Think their needs are more important thanyour are. 4. Any good thing you say or do she sees as a threat and 5. She wants what she cant have and what she has she doesnt want. I cannot understand why I still feel this deep sense of loss and this feeling that I can fix it. She makes contact with me now and then to offer help in doing some of the stuff for the business but doesnt want to meet and talk. I should be angry with her but am not and yet feel this deep sense of loss. Am I mad or why is it that I cannot seem to bring myself round to "let go". Really am battling with this one. Any help is greatly appreciated and not sure if there is another man in her life!

Just thought I would join this group now that I am a widower. My wife passed away May 28th. She was "The Wind Beneath My Wings". When I met her, I was a drunken, dope smoking, fighting, hell raising biker. She told me if I could get rid of the inner storm within me, that I could be a blessing to people. God placed her in my path to stop me. I have been drug and alcohol free now for 53...

My husband and I got our foster license last month, after 3 years of hard work (we had to start over multiple times due to family dramas and Mom's open heart surgery). We spent a year preparing the whole house, guest rooms, and children's bathroom for older kids of 7 yr old and up. Then we got a call that we have been approved to receive twin newborn premies. What, what?!! Babies!? Premies?!...

Gentle hugs.
My advice is no dinner and keep moving forward. She's fishing and has multiple lines out. This is toxic and please get some self esteem and go tell her to pack sand. She wanted out and out is OUT. She'll just keep doing the same crap it's her MO. You can do better
