Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
You take care of someone you love, the same way the one who loves you takes care of you. It is the state of being in love that has been modified. There is no way to control feelings. Your actions towards your ex spouse only show how wonderful you are.
Stay strong, this phase is a shocking realization that we don't know the future so we cannot worry about what will happen. Let the days go through and I am sure you will find, when the time is right, someone that will appreciate you, love you and be honored that you will want to take care of her too.
Hugs.
Check it out: It told me alot about myself and the way I take care of people.....it all has to do with our childhood.

It was hard for me to accept my role in the relationship ending as well and I was told the exact same thing my my therapist. When I learned about codependency and that I was codependent I asked myself the same questions. How could loving someone and wanting to take care of them be a bad thing. Its not! But when you lose your own identity in the process it is.
Right now, it is not about how she views you. Its about how you view yourself. Being of that nature, it is time that you started caring for yourself. Doing things that make you happy and not worrying about what others think or say. Its all about YOU!
You have to realize that you did not "screw up" anything. You were completely unaware. You do know what it takes to be in a relationship, but you have to set healthy boundries for yourself.
You are not delaing with this on your own.....this site and the people on it are truly amazing!!!
