I can't tell you when it will get better, because this is new to me also, but I know it eventually will have to get better. At some point, we have to stop thinking about them all the time. I know it's not him that I miss. I miss the relationship and the constant companionship. I miss the memories and the good times. I need to remind myself that there was a lot of bad times, though. It wasn't meant to be.
Feel free to message me if you like. I will always listen and it sounds like we are both going through a similar situation emotion wise.

I had so many questions, mainly all whys? But it was my therapist who helped me through these questions and helped me not to dwell on the past. She was not thinking of me so I needed to focus on myself and heal me. Do not get hung up thinking about wether he is thinking of you or not. It will eat at you forever and it doesn't help you at all to move on.
Chances are that you and you only are thinking about your relationship. If your relationship was toxic like mine was, be glad you are out now. My relationship lasted 22 years. All lies, cheating and stealing on her part. Today...I am glad it is done. No going back.
