You were never really his "rock." Ever. Everything he said was a lie.
You can that you can't handle much more, and the irony here is that you're "handing" things that you shouldn't be worrying yourself with at all. It doesn't matter what he said to others about you. He's a liar. Over time, others will figure that out about him, and he will have made his own bed.
Since you "can't handle much more," it might be a good idea to stop. Build your own life. Go back to school. Volunteer. Move away if you have to, in order to get away from him and the situation.
Put yourself first. It took me most of my life to learn that this was okay to do, so I don't fault anyone for not doing it, especially after something as rough as a divorce.
Put more energy, emotion, and brain-power where it rightfully belongs. That is, on yourself. Best of luck.
