Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
I went to divorcecare after my divorce and they say that it takes 1 year for every 4 you were married to be completely healed. I would say that is accurate. Not that you can't move forward but to have your heart healed and not so sensitive. I was married 32 years and it was a long slow process.
It's tough. Nurture yourself and take time to heal. Big hugs.
The only thing that keeps me going is that if it happens once is going to happen again.
Stay strong.
I have a date for a concert, and I really like her, but I'm very hesitant to try for anything more than a friendship. I have a lot of healing to do, and I don't want to burden her with that, nor mislead her as, at this point, I have no intention of marrying again ever. Not that it is even on the radar on a second date, but if that is her ultimate goal, I can't be that guy.
I haven't dated in 15 years, and I don't want to scare anyone off, nor to mislead anyone. To be honest, I'm pretty lost in that arena, so I know I'm not really ready yet.
I'm amazed you found the courage to try, and hope you'll heal and find a true partner someday.
Appreciate the help!
