It's not pathetic at all. I don't have a body pillow, I have my chihuahua...now that is pathetic! I do like to have several pillows around me though. Kinda comforting.

I don't own a body pillow, but have noticed, esp. more recently, that when there are extra pillows I usually get comfortable with my arm around one

i sleep next to a stuffed cow instead of a body pillow. it does help. otherwise the bed is too big. even now.

I always sleep with a body pillow. It's my grown up teddy bear.

I wish there was a way to sleep with people, without like sleeping with them. Like naptime when I was in Kindergarten. Like a friend with sleeping benefits, but nothing more.

I used to hug a pillow when I first moved out, now I'm bitter and jaded when I sleep, I find I curl my arms and my legs in toward me.

I kind of prefer someones chest, but without that I kind of go fetal too Joy. So sad.
