My ex husband has been back in the states for almost a week now. He is on a 2 week vacation for R and R before he heads back to Afghanistan.
He has not even called my son to say hello, much less that he is home, or even explain to him that he wont be seeing him. My ex decided he doesnt want to drive and meet halfway (as we always do)
My son hasnt asked about the visit, although he knows he is supposed to be home soon. His father has talked to him 3 times this entire year. Im just so done with it. As he continues to prove over and over again that he really doesnt want to be a parent, why doesnt he just walk away? It would actually be easier. And at this point..my son already has figured it out.
So..do I keep biting my tongue? I wont say anything about him being home until he does...and then I will take the conversation as it comes.

She tells him that she does not have the Gas to come get him, this is when she lived 10 miles away... Now she has moved to Indianapolis, which is 100 miles away, she told him that she would pick him up in two weeks to see her new house, this is now the 4th week. I do not make excuses anymore for her, yet she still blames me for the kids not calling or talking to her..... Yep, My fault!!! Ugh!
I bite my tongue too, but I am afraid I am about ready for a new tongue.
Just keep being the awesome Mom that you are... The Ex is not your problem anymore.
That sounds like a frustrating and heartbreaking job to have placed in your lap.
I'm sorry about that. I think I'd absolutely hate it if it were me.
I guess Im just tired and wiped out. It was enough of a mess to clean up the aftershock with myself...but when someone wants to mess with my kid, or hurt him my mama bear claws come out big time. Im trying to stay grounded..because ultimately I feel responsible.. I did choose him as his father...ugh. If I only knew then what I do know now.
