So today, has been the first day that I personally feel like I've slid down a bit. Last night I was in the middle of writing this essay for a journal entry, and my computer locked up. I was 4 hours in, and hit the send button, and that is when it happened. Since then, I've been in a weird funk. I also found out today that my computer is on it's way out, as it has memory issues, and possibly a motherboard issue. I sadly started thinking about how my marriage fell apart, just like my computer. It got too old, and was no longer functional. I realize that given some rethought on all this I will be ok, but I guess tonight, I'm just mopey because it is just another thing to go to the wayside. If it completely breaks, it will be the last thing I really own, aside from old books, and a tv. It really sad how little I have after a 10 year marriage. Guess those are the breaks of life.

Hey bud - I know how you feel. It seems like everything breaks bad at the same time. When my marriage was falling apart, my father died, I lost my job because of the economy, I had a heart attack, I broke both my wrist, and the humerus in my left arm (I'm left handed), and of course I lost my house.

I thought that I would never bounce back. I haven't all of the way yet, but I'm working on it.

There is hope for us all, but I understand the setbacks we all have along the way. Not good.

you guys are certainly in a group of others who lost a lot all at once

when my husband and I split up, I had 2 grampa-in-laws die, moved out of the marriage home and got into a traffic axccident all in one week

talkk about being knocked on your butt

it seems to be a notl-uncommon thing

I certainly didnt think this or feel it at the time
but it really was like wiping the slate clean
so much loss, really does end up being a new beginning

theyre like big turning points in the road

whole new direction from here

so enjoy the suffering while you can
its not going to last

stuff doesn't matter. Your experiences do, what you learn from them does. Who you are becoming matters. I'm sorry you are having a hard time.

Thank you. I feel for you lance and joy. No one died thank goodness, but 2 days after I got home, my mom dislocated and broke her ankle. That was really rough to deal with, but she is getting better, and in a weird sense it helped me a lot. It proved I could care for another, despite my MG and my stbx saying I can't. The computer thing is just bumming me out as it is the only real thing of value that I own. She took everything else, and while I'm not materialistic, I do feel I got the short end of the stick on it. One of my friends came over to look at it, and I think we got it fixed. It has been stable all day, and we reinstalled a new OS on it, so we will see. Just need it to survive for 4-5 more months. :)

keep your head up buddy. When it rains it pours, but theres always some light at the end. Stay positive and know there we're all in this together!
