Okay...I will admit that I am pretty superstitious anymore. Let me tell you this one and see what you think.
My wife hated Ol'Roger so I didn't fly him when she was around, out of respect. I have Sweedish ancestory so I probably have Viking blood (It actually makes sence if you knew me).
I found out about a Viking Battle flag. It was really neat looking. It is a linear raven. I bought a flag and I started flying it.
I did some more research on the Flag. It was said that the commander that flew it would be victorious in battle. The bad thing was that every Viking commander that flew it died in battle even though his forces were victorious. That concerned me.
Well...Since I was flying the flag all kinds of crap happened to me. I overcame most of it but now with my wife leaving I am really thinking about the flag.
Things that Happened: Dropped a few tools overboard off of the boat. Had a friend upthe mast doing work and he dropped a brand new wratched that bounced off the deck and created a huge ding that I had to fix. Dropped a piece of my grill overboard and it just had come apart on its own, really strange thing that happened, My autohelm malfunctioned at a really bad time and steered me into an pileon, lucky I had no damage. Got run hard aground in an anchorage because of a windchange that made my anchor drag. Had Kidney Stones. Now my wife left.
There have been a few other things. ANyways...I am thinking of burning the flag or at least removing it from the boat.
What do you guy think about this?

I'm a little superstitious--don't walk under ladders, x out black cats when they cross in front of you, I also believe in lucky numbers (mine is 7).
Fun question--it will be interesting to see some of the responses you get.
I got rid of it. Bad luck streak broke.
In any case, get rid of it. It obviously is troubling your psyche.

Seriously I would get that thing off the boat and away from you. Dont burn it, that might just piss it off - creepy
