Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.

I guess part of my worry about being divorced at my age is that I won't find another relationship eventually- even though that's not exactly on my radar right now.
Sixteen years of knowing and loving someone is a long time...I can't imagine ever being out in the dating scene again!
I'm the type who likes to meet potential partners through friends or like minded events. When I'm healed from this fiasco, I will head out into outdoorsy meet-ups in my area.
In my case, being a lesbian, my chances are really going to suck.
While it would be nice to have a male friend to do things with, I have no interest in online dating. Frankly, it scares the b'jeebees out of me. At least in my area.
Here are some examples of what is on one dating site:
The guys my age are looking:
*for my other half (please find your other half before you start dating)
*someone to complete me (yikes! I don't even want to know which parts are missing and I sure don't want the responsibility of completing another person)
*for a 'good christian woman' (been burnt by too many 'good christians')
*for someone to take care of me
*for a good old country girl
*good cook & housekeeper
*for our last love (how depressing is that?)
*for an extremely young gorgeous mate (this 'I think I would be a great catch' man has a "mansion in the woods.")
*for "a normal classy lady for long term /marriage."
This has got to be my all time favorite:
"looking for permanent love and someone to screw. I am a Christian and a Sunday school teacher at the Baptist church I attend."
All I can say is eeeeeeeeeeeewwwww!
With such enticing come-ons like that, all I can do is laugh.
and just starting to date, ohhhh boooooy & uggg
I did the online dating....I had a couple of wonderful shorter relationships....one that was 9 months that was great....but turned sour
BUT....I had some wonderful coffee and dinner dates with interesting women I would never have met.....and made some friends too
there were some not so good experiences.....but I was so thankful to have that way of being able to connect with possibilities....it gave me hope and did help with my depression
My current girlfriend, i knew for years through work and we are very happy......But I will not negate the benefit of online resourses.
it was lonely enough after my EX left, but this really helped alot
