I wish I could know if he at least had SOME feelings.....
if you are like m, you'll dwell on how much you loved him and gave everything
people are supposed to get their self-image from themselves, from whether you can say you were genuine, where you weren't
if you were married for a long time... how can you not see yourself as your partner sees you
"you" gave your best and they scrape "you" out of their lives like dogshit off the heel of their shoe
i've been there
i've felt that i was dogshit
You aren't
your worth comes from what you give
you gave yourself
in time, sorry it may take a lot of time, you'll start to feel better & you'll see that you have more to give, you are at your best when you are giving, you'll get back on your feet more and more
you will enjoy sunshine again
My boyfriend broke up with me just shortly after a close family member died. I hate that I will associate these two events with each other, and moreso that he just chose to leave when I really needed him and additionally, that he left me without any sense of closure. He just told me that he didn't want to be in a relationship and that he never wanted to speak to me again.
I have a lot of abandonment issues. And I hate this heavy feeling I now have, despite having absolutely no appetite. This part of myself that I had given to someone else is now clumsily thrown back onto my frame and I have to fix it and make it a part of me again until I am ready to give it to the next person. I doubt I ever will be. Who can want this hand-me-down damaged part of me? I don't think anyone will. My heart is just broken.
