Believe me I understand exactly how you are feeling. I switch between anger, anguish, sadness, numbness, etc. I go through such an extreme range of emotions each day I have been felt so spent in all my life. We can only pray and hope this feeling will subside sooner than later. Hugs to you. I promise you that you are not alone.

I just don't know how you guys all do it. I went on a date yesterday, trying to get myself back out there, why not? It went horrible. No interest at all! It only makes me miss my ex even more because the amount of single guys my age is a lot smaller than the last time I was single. I HATE THIS!!!

Sorry you are hurting....I have been in the sad and I want you back stage since it happened...I can't seem to stay mad for what he has done. I just miss what I loved about him... I know I am not any help. Sorry! I know he is seeing someone else because he was cheating so....I already know I have been replaced...... I hate all the thoughts of them together from having dinner, just talking and you name it...so once again Sorry I am no help. I can't help but whine and vent about my own hell!

Thanks everyone. I have a pit in my stomach and it is so painful. I've been through a lot in my life... and this is THE WORST FEELING EVER.

hey, i understand all of the emotions, i'm experiencing lots of emotions right now too.
my ex left me in the dark, and took a lot of enjoyment from my days, since she broke up with me. it's like, i wonder if she's happy, or what she's up too to fill in time, in her days, and why she could do this, without explanation. we're here for eachother on ds, and that's a good, positive thing. it's what's gonna help us get stronger, is the sharing, understanding, and the helping throughout these times.

I have to go on this website so often. But it really does help. It keeps my fingers busy and keeps me from texting him or checking out his facebook.

As far as dating, probably not the best idea. We broke up for a few weeks in January, but for some reason it wasn't this bad, meaning I didn't feel this bad...probably because things weren't this bad. I was very angry with him at the time and it fueled me. I went on a few dates with someone during that two week period. Big mistake. I made some very unhealthy choices at that time and wasnt taking the guy (the date's) feelings into consideration. It started to become a pattern, every time me and my ex had an issue I would hang out with this other guy. Well he caught on after two months and ended up hating me. It was a shame because he was a really nice guy. But I was not emotionally available and I was only masking the dysfunction in my own life. I wasn't fully letting go of my situation and expecting a "healthy" available man to just be a my beck and call and be my buddy when I was sad. It drained him and he decided he didn't even want to be my friend.

Currently I have a guy friend who I have known for roughly 20 years. He acts like hes just my buddy but I know he would willingly accept more. He would most likely do anything for me, but I don't take advantage of people. I refuse to even hang out with him. As this time around, I must deal with the pain and not drag innocent people into my BS. Dating is a very distant hope for me.

Oh I just wanted to clarify I didn't physically do anything with the guy I was hanging out with. I'm not that type of person. I was just looking for anything to relieve my sadness.

I don't know if dating is a good idea or not. I just need to do something to keep my mind off of him.

ditto... helerown... I'm not ready to be physical with someone else, I was also looking for something, anything, to help me feel better. I don't want to hurt anyone else's feelings though.

Right, helerown... I get what you're saying. I want to be clear that dating others I am not doing it to be selfish, just for some company. I made it clear that I wasn't looking for long term right now, just someone to enjoy coffee with.

Sorry I wasn't insinuating that at all, and I completely understand. Trust me. What I was saying is I was totally selfish and lost a good potential friend. I know you are hurting very badly and I would never insinuate you did anything wrong or selfish. Hugs
