I was just thinking about how I know that if someone I am interested in finds out that I am job hunting and not gainfully employed then they will loose interest in me. Really, I can't blame them because no one wants to bet on a long shot these days. I am very upfront and tell people that I am job hunting really quickly so they don't feel like I wasted their time and hey, if they still are interested then they at least know that I am extremely honest. If it isn't meant to be, it isn't meant to be.
Here is the odd thing. Some of these people who turn the cold shoulder to me may be in the same position that I am by the time that this is all over. Besides, it is a date, you aren't marrying me.
If someone was to take the time and learn my background they can clearly see that I am far from a jobless looser. I happen to be a well trained and college educated jobless looser. I will not always be this way! LOL.
I am kind of out of the dating market but not fully out. That is me saying that I wouldn't turn a date down if I got one but I am not out there with the full court press either. I look around, cruise a few dating sites, but not really trying to be the man (besides, dating is very expensive when you are the guy).
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
Anyone in the same situation that I am and have similar thoughts?
Anyone in a different situation and had a jobless person ask them out?

They are driving up to finish up this project.. and I'm the leader in the project like...herding the cattle into the slaughter house. Arghhh

I thought that was my suitcase.. hell I still have clothes in there from when I moved... Guess not much packing to do.. ahahah.

Now in certain cases, allot more with this economy, they are missing out on an educated person down on their luck. But it still sticks into the minds of people that they do not want to carry a second person, and it is easier to avoid them then try to weed threw them.
I myself dated a woman briefly who had a shitty job, but she had plans to go into police training. After a short time it became abundantly clear she has no desire to make that happen and even when presented a job offer which would have quadrupled her income and given her more time at home, she didn't even look at it. She was very content with being in a min wage job.
Now granted if it wasn't her cup of tea that is one thing, but to not even look at an offer this great really kicked me in the teeth. That was a huge part of the reason I split up with her. I want and am advancing myself in life and want a partner on the same track as me. I don't expect someone to go become a CEO, but try to further yourself in employment.
So my advice to you is just shake off the ones who give you the cold shoulder, and remember them, because once your employed again, if they come asking, send them the other direction.
Also, if you think about getting back into local law enforcement, the stimulus package is going to provide at least $4 BILLION in assitance so local law enforcement agencies will have funding to hire more officers.
