I am 36, and I would not consider an 18 yo, I am not adopting, don't waste your time and feelings in kindengarden. Don't prey in younger peoples low self esteem and issues.
My parents told me always to choose someone my own size to paly with. You are in adifferent point in life. I am not sure how you would like to be seen by your friends, family and peers hanging out with a child. think you should consider growing up. Different stages in life completely. ASk yourself why you are looking for a massage to the ego, you most certainly don't need it. You can wait until and if life offers you someone more compatible, someone you can exchange experience and not exactly each how to live. Every time you date, your emotions are up for grabs. Guard your heart and remember that age difference is one of the factors that increase likelihood of a relationship to fail, chances are greater within plus or minus 4 yrs apart. Make the choice that is right for you, let crap pass you by. The ex ended up living with his first cousin 17 yrs younger, so don't stick in the crazy cause you never knoe where that will end up....Hugs
