The guy in my study group does not pull his weight and I am sick of it. He doesn't spend half the time that the rest of us do (checked log). He doesn't contribute much to discussions, papers, etc. But he sure does point out the wrong decisions we make. I've talked to the other girl in our group and she tried talking to him about it. He goes into this whole pity party of how his daughter has hearing problems, tubes, etc, his wife is coming down with a big ear infection, he's had to work overtime.... like where does it say a single mom of 2 has more time than the average man? What a joke is all I think. Am I just bitter with all men, or do I have a right to kick him off the team?

Put him on a warning. Let him know that he is not putting forth in the group as the rest and if he does not contribute let him go.
