I came to this site about a year and half ago during my divorce. It was hard during my marriage where he was in control of everything including money. He made me feel like I was nothing, and hardly showed love ot affection. How he treaded my son (his stepson) was horrible to where I had my son stay at my parents home for a short time so he would not be part of the ex's games amd taunting. Found receipts of the affair and filed for divorce. He made is very difficult and found this site which helped alot. I went though so much, more than one should bare mentally and emotionally, even had to have a restraining order against but had God and family to help me through it.
Believe me I know how it feels like you just dont know what to do, scared, angry, questioning things, and feeling maybe doubt, and how can you go onbwith the pain. It DOES and WILL get better!
Now year or so after the divorce, I finally graduated college, and wont let anything the ex tries to do to get to me. I know he is a sad, pathedic tormented soul who is full of hate and he is hurting noone but himself. And now have a man who truly loves me, is beyond kind, caring and thoughtful. More than I have ever experienced. I once said to him, ' you are too good to me' and he looked at me and told me, ' no, I treat you how you are suppose to be treated'. I am so not used to this from the ex.
It does get better, and one has to focus on that. Yes it may hurt for a time, but it will get better.
