I remember once year I did a whole bunch of really nice stuff fro him for his birthday.. and I found a message he went to this one girl saying no one got him anything and he didnt do anything for his birthday..
Its not feasible that he did anything physical with any of these girls, but I still consider that cheating. I broke up with him.
A few months later, we got back together. I thought he had learned his lesson and he wouldnt do it again. That we would move past it and be stronger for it.
We moved from NY to Texas together. 6 months later, I caught him doing it again.
I left his ass in TX.
After we were married, yes.
And guess what? It happened again and again and.....
.
Did I think I could change behavior I didn't find appropriate.....sadly in a way yes. I felt that I would not give the green light for it and it would not happen the same way but .sadly he was programmed to get whatever he wanted which made it extremely difficult to have a relationship with him.
Yes, he had promised. He apologized, he cried, he couldnt eat or sleep.
He forgot a year and a half later.
My husband has returned, at my request to start again. He seems very much like a different man, but some things are still the same. As a result, I am following my gut instincts.
He wanted very much to leave in 2009 and was very vocal about it. He wanted to live a different life. About a year later, he had many regrets and wanted to return. I said no. I was happy to be alone, even if I still loved him. The requests continued for 4 years until he finally met someone. The universe sent me a pocket call that changed it all for me. I asked him to reconsider us. He is home, and changed a lot for me, including shutting down his facebook, where a former lover seemed overly interested in his life.
Now, after learning about the life he wanted to lead, and did so, he wants to leave that all behind him and begin again with me. It's hard to rebuild trust. But I am choosing to let him show me this different man.
He cheated on me while married, and I divorced him.
I know he cheated on his current GF whom he has been with for about 1.5 yrs.
