Yesterday I was given a revelation by a good friend of both mine and my husbands.
While I have been suffering for over two years trying to get my marriage back on track based on the repetitive promises of my husband in relation to his fidelity, supporting what he told me was his obsessional personality and a depressive illness; he has been doing just what he wants.
I gave him one last chance two months ago and recognized by the last few weeks that he was never going to change, and when he started getting violent with me when I threatened to expose his two timing behavior to his mistress, I at last stepped back.
Yesterday I was told that while my husband has had his 'obsession' over the OW, he has also managed to screw a few other women along the journey.
My friend simply said "I am not a saint, but I cannot bear to see what your husband is doing to you. He is my good friend, but ....." and he went on to tell me that after I had spent 4 nights with them on our boat last week, my husband two days later then docked the boat at a 'friends' mooring and proceeded to screw her in the other room while his poor mate and friend had to be housed in the guest room and listen. This other woman was not the mistress, but a third or fourth participant in his love triangle. And whats more - she is one of his patients.... and we know what that means.
Narcissism at its worst.
If anyone has read any of my posts in the past about my dilemmas about giving him another chance - then they will at last be pleased and proud of me when I say that I will never give this prick the time again in my life.
I spent 26 years with him, 22 of them married to him.
I knew about 2 affairs and refused to believe there were more.
My word of warning to others - where there is one, maybe there may not be others, but where there is more than one affair - no matter what he says, he is, and always will be, a serial offender. Run.

I am thankful for our friend who shed light on the subject. He apologised for being hurtful, but he said as a man, and my friend, he could not stand around and let me be duped anymore. Bad enough having to put up with lies over the mistress for 2 years, but adding others in - that is just so wrong.
I am sort of in shock I think, but at least now I can get some help to get through the trauma of the 'not knowing who I was living with' thing, and no longer have to have the therapy for the 'can I ever trust him again, or is he cheating on me again?" side of things.
It has to be better.
I have spent 22 years trying to trust someone who is not trustworthy. It is killer.

I figure that karma is going to get most people who are doing the wrong thing anyway..someday. No doubt your ex will get his, in spades.
You have a new life to enjoy, and I hope that things get better for you with each rising sun.....
I can look at who is on his arm with pity now, and that sure helps move on. I am very sad about it all, but it will get better now, I know that.
