Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
I know! I think it is because you had all these plans with this person. You saw this future and when that ends the thought of some mystery person taking that place someday seems so odd. I mean of course maybe someday we will hopefully find that right person and maybe all these awful sleepless nights will finally mean something!
I think that MeetUps are a great first step. If you haven't heard of them Google MeetUps and see what they have available in your area. It is a great way to meet people with the same interest without the stress of a one or one or blind date.
Don't settle for someone just because you are lonely or only feel validated when you are in a relationship. I felt so much pride, power and happiness with being single.
I too had wondered when I was ready how I would meet someone. I hated the thought of opening myself up to someone. The getting to know each other....meeting family and friends...ugh!!
For me my story took an unexpected turn. A wonderful man who had been one of my closest friends for half my life declared his love for me when he saw that my heart was healing from my divorce. He loved me enough to stand back and give me time. I had no clue he had been in love with me for decades. We have been dating for over a year and life is wonderful. We are taking things super slow and I love every slow moment of it. Funny thing is...I still really enjoy my me time.
I know lots of people on here have tried online dating...if just want for me!
