Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
I also DID get an attorney. Best $4500 I ever spent! They had to move out of my house within 30 days. I got 1/2 of our furniture, 1/2 our stock and 1/2 of his retirement.
They've been living with his 70+ year old parents in their 1300 sf home - 4 adults and 5 dogs.
Seems life with the OW is no longer as stress free as he proclaimed when they were riding high: 2 houses (hers and his). 2 new cars, 2 great incomes and (thanks to me) no debt on his side.
Life was great until all came crashing down and now he is again texting me, wanting to meet at 'our' place, wanting me to listen to ''Happy Together' by The Monkey's - our song....not sure when this became our song, but I am sure it is now wishful thinking on his part.
'What I had was 100x better than the pain and trouble I caused. I realize now that what I always wanted was not on the internet, but right in front of me!" - his words in one of his texts to me.
I am certain that what we had and what I had to offer now seems like a kingdom to him. He is still with the OW, tells me that she has no other place to go. I know that is a lie, because she has a divorced sister in a town 28 miles away, she has parents and children she can live with.
Anyway, life is not so golden any longer, lots of fights, she is not the one he wants to spend the rest of his life with either.
I was kind enough to forward those texts to her, to one of them she replied that she is just glad that I eff'd up my marriage and that she now has this wonderful man to love her....l never said she is very bright.
Planted that seed of doubt in the back of her little mind - now she knows what it feels like to love someone who loves somebody else...
Please don't let the bitterness eat at you. Deny it, turn and walk away. Nothing you do to him will help you in any way. Ignore him and his OW and refocus on your own life. You are in my prayers.
