Wow, last time I visited this site was in May. I was just reading all my posts and replies and realized how much progress I've made the past 7 months. Although the pain and sadness are not entirely gone, I must say I'm at a much better place now.
Now that my mind is much clearer, I see that our marriage was over way before she even decided to tell me she wanted a separation this past January and eventually moving out in April. I've done well since then and know that there are MUCH better days ahead.
This site has been a real great source of information, compassion and a great place to vent. I'm not sure I could have done as well as I did if it wasn't for this place.

Sounds great! Time really does help and yes the people on this site were very instrumental in my healing as well. Great to talk to others going though the same rollercoaster ride. Definitely has leveled off which is nice.

Thank you for the update! I'm doing well now as well, and it is night and day from when I first started posting here. The caring people and support received were so important to my recovery journey, and I'm grateful to all who shared in my journey. For those just beginning, know that it may take a long time, but it does get better, and there is a bright future to hope for - it does happen and you can get there!

Thanks for checking in, it's so good to hear some positive thoughts, it gives everyone hope that we too will make it to the "other" side. I'm doing much better as well, still have some sad days but nothing to when I first started this nightmare journey. Everyone here has been so compassionate and helpful and I hope I can help in some small way as I slowly regroup and discover my new life.

Great to hear from you Tailspin916, and glad to hear that you are doing so much better!

I remember your username, although I don't remember your specific story off the top of my head. My world "blew up" around March/April this year, so I was posting more then.

I'm also doing better. More than a little better. But perhaps not great. But better.

And yes, this site and the people here are such a valuable resource. The internet can be dehumanizing, but a site like this actually proves the opposite can be true as well - it can bring together people who would never otherwise cross paths, and they can help each other in very meaningful ways.
