Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
I do think you probably should say something to your daughter about them not being left home alone at night and safety. And the importance of her not lying to you.
If you have the kids every other weekend, I don't know why she just can't wait to go out until you have the kids. Or am I crazy here? I don't share custody so I don't know how other people work it.
Again,I would discuss with lawyer if you can. If you can't talk/email with her, then I would say perhaps a letter from your attorney. Maybe just asking that the children not be left home alone at night, and if that's necessary, you be the first choice for "babysitting". If you are willing to do that.
Tough situation. I'm sorry somerdale!
It is odd. I hear my daughter on the phone with her father answering his questions which are obviously "what did you do" "where did you go" "who was there" anyone else" and it goes WAY past "so what did you do today". I just let it go. She is young and these persistent questions don't affect her. If anything he is hurting himself and I will always hope my children answer honestly, by not instructing them in any way, not having anything to hide. He obviously thinks I do.
All I did was asked my daughter who was watching them. I did not ask what mommy was doing.
I have told the kids, if mommy ask them questions about our time together, to tell her.
