Traumatic brain injury occurs when a sudden trauma causes brain damage. TBI can result from a closed head injury or a penetrating head injury. Symptoms of a TBI can be mild, moderate, or severe, depending on the extent of the damage to the brain. Outcome can be anything from complete recovery to permanent disability or death. A coma can also affect a child's brain.
Write everything down. Use your computer - keep a separate page for: water, mortgage, insurance, doctors, electricity, phone, bank, stuff on order, everything - what number you dialed, who you spoke with, who is supposed to do what, who's court the ball is in, etc.
This is the only way I have been able to survive.

As far as getting to the other room and forgetting why you are there??? Get used to it and don't let it get you down.
We use different parts of our memory at different times .
Sometimes a picture (like the doorway to the kitchen) can trigger the lost thoughts .
