Hi Josh, Yeah, any change is very difficult for me to adjust to, and I am 7 years out. That's a huge undertaking and change from living with parents. I guess my advice would be for you to get a routine, and try to stick to it. I hope things will settle down for you real soon.

Hello..so where do you want to be? I agree with SSE and finding a routine to help you with everyday things. Look at one thing or task at a time, like oh there are 2 dishes in the sink I will wash them now. Take things slow and easy and don't be afraid to ask for help. Hope that helps you out a bit. hi, I totally agree with your other answers. Its so important to get some routine going for yourself.
At the same time try and enjoy being out on your own. Do some things that you wouldn't have liked to do when in your parents place, its a big move and even harder when you have had a tbi but I am sure you can make the most of it.
Find things that you can enjoy and make the most of them.
As you say your parents are not far away and it wouldn't be so bad if you had a set day or days when you called back to see them every week.
I think you'll soon find that while you will always be glad to see them you will be glad to get back to your own space too. Good luck

Hi, I commend you for getting your own place, now you can get started with the next phase which is making it your own. I love making something "my own" style, perspective,personality,etc. Maybe you can learn the area, make a note of places you would like to go, hang out, walk, draw, read, paint, think,or a routine of things. New people you can meet, places to go, buses to take, social events where you moved to, and flyers of info abou them. Just think there could be lots of new oppurtunities right down the street from you. This could be great. Hold off on deciding whether this is good or bad yet and just wait and see...You never know, this could be a great move????
