Traumatic brain injury occurs when a sudden trauma causes brain damage. TBI can result from a closed head injury or a penetrating head injury. Symptoms of a TBI can be mild, moderate, or severe, depending on the extent of the damage to the brain. Outcome can be anything from complete recovery to permanent disability or death. A coma can also affect a child's brain.

At the same time try and enjoy being out on your own. Do some things that you wouldn't have liked to do when in your parents place, its a big move and even harder when you have had a tbi but I am sure you can make the most of it.
Find things that you can enjoy and make the most of them.
As you say your parents are not far away and it wouldn't be so bad if you had a set day or days when you called back to see them every week.
I think you'll soon find that while you will always be glad to see them you will be glad to get back to your own space too. Good luck
