Understand that problem. I used ear plugs in the beginning...still do when it gets overwhelming!

Not sure I would describe what the teenagers play as music. But cant handle it either. Or loud screeching noises.

i can relate as well. I have a sensitivity to light and sound (always have kleenex to plug my ears)and often hear the sound coming from a different direction then the actual source. Another annoying issue is that i get very distracted by my peripheral vision - such as a fan in the ceiling or cars whizzing by as i'm walking - I have to concentrate really hard not to be distracted by the commotion. I often move or change seats with friends etc to avoid the confusion that this usually brings on.
These things are nuisances for me, I hope they do not affect you too much but i can certainly see that if they are more exaggerated for some people, it must really be a problem.

My TBI caused damage to my inner ears and have caused something called Hyperacusis. You might have this as well. High pitch sounds, and anything with vibration causes severe pain. The smaller the room, the worse it usually is for me.

I'm currently undergoing treatment for this. It involves wearing some ear pieces designed for this condition. I'm happy to say that I've had improvement in my condition. The total therapy is supposed to take approx 18 months.

Sound is overwhelming sometimes. It almost sounds like the bass in a speaker to me sometimes. Like that vibration almost. It's just too much.
My vision was really effected. Bright lights are too much, and the double vision can make me sick on my stomache.

I thought I was crazy, my kids would laugh. The phone would ring and I couldn't find it or figure out where the sounds was coming from. Bus rides were the worse. The loud talking, I've since worn earphones even with no music just to drown out sounds. Not realizing I had such severe issues with noise, smell and light, I took my son to the circus. I felt like I was going to die. I became so physically ill after it and spent two days recovering. Dr. said you can't filter out these things it was a total senses overload. Had to let go of a good friend that talked at such a high pitch I'd have headaches, I switched to phone with her it was worse, I couldn't tell her it was her voice, I didn't know what to say it was my problem not hers.

The phone ringing is a killer for me . I hate it .
any high pitched sound does similar .
I sleep with ear plugs as any sound seems to wake me .
As for music i gave up trying .
now and then i will listen to a radio tune low down , but for me its Pink Floyd or relaxation music or nothing .
Nothing most times.

Also when im in public places and theres a few different pitches seems to annoy me alot .
