Yes, I got the absent seizures, then allergic reaction to dye for an mri, which was on file but the new nuro ignored that and didnt tell me I was having one with and one without. Took two Drs to hold me down as i screamed cant have, read my chart. To late, night seizures for a while, then they stopped. So for pick me up after other things, did a free stitching machine emb course, which I couldnt finish as it gave me photo sensitive epilepsy, which I still have. Even out shopping is hard with some clothes every person has a right to wear, but the effect is not good for us who have this, so need to look away fast. And of course for all of us with it, the christmas flashing lights everywhere. Bad enough at best of times. I embarrass my husband and he walks away and disowns me for a couple of mins when I see shops with lights flashing. I ask them if they have a first aid person trained in seizures on call here every minute the shop is open. Because they could get sued, do they want to hurt a small child who will be attracted to them and damage them? Amazing how many shops no longer have flashing lights going in our shopping centre now. I do suggest a light that doesnt flash but advertises their product is fine We have enough, dont need anymore to live with. Do hope this gets your son back on his meds, even though it was a hard way to learn.

I have myoclonic seizures. * I had them long before I asked my neurologist about the weird stuff ( Muscular Tics ) happening at random.
I was then told by 2 neurologist ( husband and wife ...I'd seen the Mrs. years ago when a simple pacemaker replacement resulted in my
T3,4,5 &6th nerves were severed ) as I was allergic to Dialantin and Neurontin there was nothing they could do.

I had long assumed that my tics were the result of stress due to 6 years of severe / extreme domestic abuse. I was right however I'd been in 4 years of therapy for PTSD. After some how able to control my PTSD ( as much as possible ) I landed right back in the throughs of PTSD for indeed all of my TBIs were caused by my abuse.

As I live alone and have lost all of my friends ( out of fear of my abuser ) and now my family " Safety First is my way of life now .
At least this injury is not visible to others like the rest do.

Each tic results in a flashback.

My hubby has ptsd badly, and yes a lot of friends cant understand and they werent the friends I thought. The ones that stayed are. Good time for sifting I think of it as. He has flashback nightmares often and all the other effects of ptsd too.
I was also allergic to dilantan, toxicity of 49.6 after one a day for 21 days, followed by hepatitus. Nuro didnt want to know. Had to go in all students and updated med books so they know this can happen each time the last high recording is beaten, no names thankfully. That nuro is no more for me. It isnt easy, but we learn ways to cope with it the best we can. This is a great group of sharing and support for each other.

ive been having seizures ever since i got my tbi and its been a rocky road being able to find the right medicine for me but i believe that finally i have found some good siezure pills and anti depressant pills to go with it too that help to stop me from having seizures.as long as your son has a good doctor that will listen to how hes been feeling and will listen to you too you will get there.i wishh you both good luck
