Brain Injury Support Group
Traumatic brain injury occurs when a sudden trauma causes brain damage. TBI can result from a closed head injury or a penetrating head injury. Symptoms of a TBI can be mild, moderate, or severe, depending on the extent of the damage to the brain. Outcome can be anything from complete recovery to permanent disability or death. A coma can also affect a child's brain.
I was trying very hard to not let stress from an intense conversation get to me tonight.
Bad for the brain & heart (potentially). Even was smiling in the midst of it to try to keep from the pain increasing.
Pain certainly affects the mood jsut as everything else does. Stress....awe good old stress of any kind can land me in bed or fog for a day!!
Rest, it will do you good. Especially when you've accomplished so much. Congrats!!!
I notieced too...downward cycles almost feel as if I was backsliding. Truth was I was pushing to hard and needed to back off...just a bit.
I know what you mean Sporty - it almost feels like I took a major downturn. But, truthfully, I've been doing so much more than I have been. I just did a little too much.
Yep (Jeff) - I've noticed major emotional stuff will also set off the head pain.
Meep - I can relate to the roller coaster analogy - I feel like I'm on a downward part at the moment.
I'm trying really hard right not not to beat myself up for the bad days. They are recovery days.
Patience is a virtue, I'm told.
