Hi guys, I found this site through the suicide hotline. I've been struggling with a Trumatic brain injury I suffered 12 years ago in a car accident. Since then I've tried to commit suicide more than six times. Lost more than six jobs. Suffered divorce, and my business failed.I have tried to reach out for help So many times, and often been referred to mental health services. It seems like they address some of the symptoms but none of them address the Core problem. I feel suicidal because of my inability to function on a daily basis and form positive habits and relationships. Most of my friends have left because of the difficulty and emotional regulation problems. cause I haven't been able to hold jobs, I've been unable to afford experts or any type of neurological help with my problem. I tried to commit myself twice in January of this year due to suicidal thoughts and being overburdened by the pressure of trying to work at the same time. I was rejected both times because of insurance, even though I carry it it wasn't the right kind and I was going to be referred to inpatient services at the mental health facility which has done more harm than good. I had a breakdown and got violent at a bar and now I'm suffering the consequences of the legal system which of only compounded the problems that I have just living. Since I now have a record I cannot apply for even the most basic jobs, I just don't know what to do. My mental health services insurance and prescriptions cost about $750 a month and my new court cost cost about the same. I'm unable to work and I'm waiting on disability which may take up to 18 months to start. I guess I'm here for support and any ideas that you guys might have as far as resources that may be able to help me. I'm in Texas where it's very hard to get social services. My family can't really afford to help me, and I feel so alone not being able to trust myself or afford to go out. What do you guys do when you can't trust your own brain and reactions.? What are you guys do when you're alone with your disease? Thank you so much for being here any feedback is appreciated thank you!

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

So voc rehab finally got in touch with me...it took like six months finally. The voc rehab person that they assigned to me is a lawyer and extremely knowledgable on disability law and he seems to know a great deal about how to get people placed in jobs and how to make their resumes pass ATS. I was really surprised at how articulate and energetic he is. I guess my question is how much I...

Is it possible to get financial aid, through Your insurance?
Maybe think about/or do You have a Medicaid card?
That's good because, insurance won't pick everything up, whatever insurance doesn't, Medicaid will,
And have You thought about getting Aetna? most everyone is insured by Aetna.
Good luck to You
God Bless
