Brain Injury Support Group
Traumatic brain injury occurs when a sudden trauma causes brain damage. TBI can result from a closed head injury or a penetrating head injury. Symptoms of a TBI can be mild, moderate, or severe, depending on the extent of the damage to the brain. Outcome can be anything from complete recovery to permanent disability or death. A coma can also affect a child's brain.
Excersize is the key, every single day! Multiple times a day, it is hard not to over work the muscles that were relaxed for so long I know, short bouts of excersize will help.
When you just can't take it anymore...hot shower or bath (bath works best for me) or a hot tub soak. The heat helps relax the muscles that are having the trouble.
Just to give you an idea...all the toes on one of my feet were curled tight!
I literally had to pull them straight with my fingers. No one gave me any therapy to help I did it myself by applying pressure to them while they were straigtened and did it all the time I wasn't doing something else.
It did take a while a long while, but...they look like they used to and they don't hurt anymore. I am still working on my legs, but I know it can be done...or is that undone?! lol!!
Keep up the good work! You will get there!!!
