Traumatic brain injury occurs when a sudden trauma causes brain damage. TBI can result from a closed head injury or a penetrating head injury. Symptoms of a TBI can be mild, moderate, or severe, depending on the extent of the damage to the brain. Outcome can be anything from complete recovery to permanent disability or death. A coma can also affect a child's brain.
A little procedure, simple and inexpensive called NeuroCranial Restructuring ended my severe level of head pain. After the debilitating pain was finally gone -- i discovered the tbi symptoms were a separate thing.. I still have some symptoms of the years of pain, but very slight by comparison. Truly, i was in ceaseless head pain from 1994 to 2006. Because it was structural, it had pushed my neck out of alignment, but that was a symptom of damage in my head.
in October 2006, the 3rd day of my 4 day NCR series, my skull was shifted more symmetrically onto my spine and instantly, that pain was gone and it's stayed gone for almost 5 years. It's a little known procedure and I rarely mention it for I don't want to be seen as pushing it, but i also want to inform, i mean - it not only ended pain but improved me cognitively in some ways, literally overnight.
I think this is the most powerful natural corrective physical procedure that's ever been invented. Ok, off my soapbox.
It still is amazing to my Nathogan that you don't have pain, with what you went through.
Klassact - I am so glad your daughter is now out of pain. She is so young and going through so much. It's good that one piece has been relieved.
Meagan and Oneid1hr - I'm so sorry both of you are still dealing with headaches too. :( It is hard to have unrelenting pain.
ljy- I don't know what CNS is, but I'm presuming this is something that signals pain? Like you said, not feeling pain is not a good thing if it's because something is damaged.
Hmyers - I think it is SO wonderful that you were able to get out of pain after all those years of suffering!
I was diagnosed with having a blood vessel in the back of my head swell up (vascular migraine.) I think it happens due to the problems with my muscles and tendons in my neck. So I'm working on stretching those muscles. It's painful - but I have to do it in order to get better.
Great question! Thanks for posting.
I wish everyone luck in trying to find a way to reduce your head pain.
I didn't think the article I read made sense - I would think most people who suffer a TBI would be dealing with pain. Unless the part of the brain that gives us the pain signal is altered.
It's interesting to read the different treatments people have tried that have been successful.
My pain has decreased over the past year and a half. By decrease, I mean that I went from pain every second of every day to having pain fluctuate throughout the day to now where the pain is brought on by activity. The severity of the pain when it comes on is still hell, but I have it less often.
