Brain Injury Support Group
Traumatic brain injury occurs when a sudden trauma causes brain damage. TBI can result from a closed head injury or a penetrating head injury. Symptoms of a TBI can be mild, moderate, or severe, depending on the extent of the damage to the brain. Outcome can be anything from complete recovery to permanent disability or death. A coma can also affect a child's brain.
eyes/brain can only handle so much/so it's trial and error/major brain fatigue/do I get down....ohh yeah....this BI stuff is damn hard....I will not beat you up for trying....that's IMHO....how we progress and find what our limits are....and somehow adapt.....until we try something new....again!!
I don't like taking meds (one) but it helps me function/keeps my brain from going off the rails....there are lots of very smart people here at this site....you are one of them Red......we have to do things differently now, but that's ok....especially when someone tells me no/you can't/you won't/like a doctor....I need to prove them wrong/just keep trying in your own way and time!! We're with you Red!! Blessings from a stubborn cheez!!
I re-read your initial post starting this thread, and I wanted to add that when I started trying to play simple brain games on my old phone, I was lucky if I could play at all for 10 minutes before the eye/brain pain was so bad I had to lie down with my eyes closed, I was sooo discouraged I thought I would never improve, but I did a few minutes each day and 10 minutes turned into a half hour, then an hour, you get the picture, and I was finally able to use a tablet/use the internet with limits......you were doing 10 hours....that's alot...so maybe starting something slower and building on it would help. I now play games too much, and have cut back because the flip side is over stimulation and bad eye/brain fatigue again, but like you finding our limits is important so we can explore what is possible and how we can try again!
Let us know how you're doing!! Blessings
