Brain Injury Support Group
Traumatic brain injury occurs when a sudden trauma causes brain damage. TBI can result from a closed head injury or a penetrating head injury. Symptoms of a TBI can be mild, moderate, or severe, depending on the extent of the damage to the brain. Outcome can be anything from complete recovery to permanent disability or death. A coma can also affect a child's brain.

I also take muscle milk & other protein drinks, mostly for physical fitness & because I work out, never thought it would be good for brain but I'm sure it is.
Neuro1 is what is what the stuff is called, made by Nutrition53 owned by Bill Romanowski retired from the NFL. That stuff is fantastic. Its tons of vit B but there is lots of other stuff in there also. They have caffeine & caffeine free. You can find it online, it's kinda tough to get @ stores I just have a meat-head buddy that's all into supplements etc so he found it for me. I've also taken liquid vit B, but that was similar to 5hour energy, I was all wired & not well focused.
I always take Neuro1 before I work, & you can tell when I forget by my results @ work. My mother who is 56 now takes it, along with a couple friends (1's a CPA) & they love it also. & no, I don't work for the company or sell supplements lol, just play cards. The stuff works so good I don't want it getting out to my competitors, but this is totally different.
I also disagree with pharmaceuticals fundamentally unless they are absolutely necessary. They tried to give me all kinds of stuff that made me worse, lucky for me I live in CA & were 1 of the 14 medical marijuana states. My routine is that, premium supplements & nutrition, fitness & that's it, & works better for me than anything "pros" told me to do.
Good luck with everything, give it a shot I hope it helps for you!
I agree with you that the pharmaceutical companies are only after the big bucks and don't care for the common good and welfare of patients-(I've been on both Lithium and Fluoxotene for depression, and neither helped me-In fact, the Fluoxotene made me gain weight!). Sometime, when I get a chance, I may try some of those over the counter remedies you suggested--It probably wouldn't hurt to at least give them a try.

I have been looking for something to help with the...always fatigued issue, the sun seems to be the best for that...although not always readily available and I am truly sick and tired of being tired. I sleep very well compared to most with TBI...there is no logical explaination.
With the results you've expressed Big B...I'll give it a try! Thanks for sharing!

My lab tests this week came back weird. So my Doctor is ordering more tests and if they come back weird he said he will send me to an endocrinologists. May be I need "adrenal gland stuff" to straighten out my glandular problems. I hope these problems are related to all these frickin pills I am taking and not related to the head injury or some other health concern.
