Brain Injury Support Group
Traumatic brain injury occurs when a sudden trauma causes brain damage. TBI can result from a closed head injury or a penetrating head injury. Symptoms of a TBI can be mild, moderate, or severe, depending on the extent of the damage to the brain. Outcome can be anything from complete recovery to permanent disability or death. A coma can also affect a child's brain.
My humor as dry as the Sahara tonight.
I don't lose objects (I don't like to keep many), though, for which I'm thankful.
I use a money clip,, or really a slim clip everyday to carry my cash and my important cards that I use often. I just keep my credit cards that I rarely ever use in my wallet
I also have things appear in my house that I don't know how they got there. I mean, I must have bought them, but have no memory of it. Now THAT really freaks me out.
I'm running out of spare keys for my house and car because I loose them so much, when I get down to 1 key each I go and get more made up. I often wonder how I can loose them so often and NEVER come across them eventually?
What drives me nuts is when I purposely put something in a spot so I wont loose it and can never find it again.
I saylets go over what yu have done, he doesnt like it but I have to do it for myself as I forget because of damage to my brain and the stressas his caregiver/advocate/ all round doer. I find this method wroks for us both, first before panicing meditate or relax somehow as panic and stress will confuse the mind. just walking upstairs to bedroom or bathroom and picking up an artical of clothing taken off often reveals the item, heck if I dot sit my glasses in thier special place I loosemthem and hunt blindly for them.
Thanks everyone for sharing. It's nice to know I'm not alone. But, many is it annoying! I'm not working right now, and I can't help but wonder how I'll do when I'm working again.
although we keep trying to train ourselves to put some things in the same place.
