Brain Injury Support Group
Traumatic brain injury occurs when a sudden trauma causes brain damage. TBI can result from a closed head injury or a penetrating head injury. Symptoms of a TBI can be mild, moderate, or severe, depending on the extent of the damage to the brain. Outcome can be anything from complete recovery to permanent disability or death. A coma can also affect a child's brain.
But what about regular headaches? Aren't they in the head? And also when people have strokes, there is a lot of pain involved and isn't that from a blood vessel bursting in the brain?
Over stimulation in the beginning and still to this day results in earth shattering pain in my head...feels like it's gonna blow (my brain that is)....I'd do just about anything to make it quit! Oh...ya...and I have gone ballistic because of the pain.
Not sure it's actually my brain feeling the pain but...never took the time to figure it out. Never realized it was pain in the beginning. My hubby saw something flash just before I lost it one day. He asked...what's wrong? Pain...my only response.
I went to the car as prearranged but later we talked about it. I remember telling him it felt like my brain was being ripped to pieces or it was going to explode.
I'd tend to agree...the brain feels pain or...it's so close to the brain that's how we all perceive it.
And, it's all about perception anyhow. That all comes from the brain!
Stress and pressure also cause me to have head pain. It's a different kind of pain though. Almost like a halo or something.
Not to namecall without a reason. The Bible warns of associating with a fool. People have been having this sort of pain since sin and pain came to the world.
It is a horrible pain, and if one hasn't experienced it, they have no right to claim it doesn't exist. Have a nice day everyone!
On a daily basis I see my son and at times notice that he might be in pain. I wipe his face and see the pain in him. Now I know and pray that is pain subsides.
Worried mother.. : (
I'm rebuilding a career that got out of date while i was down and so I've had to learn a lot of new things and catch up in the computer programming world. I've got a new job and make like I know what i'm doing, which i do mostly - . (they don't know about the tbi or the years i was down) well, sometimes the pain is pretty intense we'll be meeting and talking and it;'ll be pressing down. It never happens on easy days, only on days with heated sessions where i'm pressed to think intensely to figure out things I don't (yet) know.
The brains not supposed to feel pain. idk. it's sure involved in the process.
and then like later on i'll just be burn out and forgetful for the rest of the night. next morning i'm pretty well refreshed and back at it.
Pressing this learning, day by day, does seem to improve things. Definitely once I've learned something, hard as that is, i got it. But post tbi I have to approach my work in the same career a whole different way. .
Best wishes for healing in your sons near future.
I'm pretty sure your husband does feel the atmospheric pressure changes. I am also the local weather monitor at my home!
