Brain Injury Support Group
Traumatic brain injury occurs when a sudden trauma causes brain damage. TBI can result from a closed head injury or a penetrating head injury. Symptoms of a TBI can be mild, moderate, or severe, depending on the extent of the damage to the brain. Outcome can be anything from complete recovery to permanent disability or death. A coma can also affect a child's brain.
What worked for me was a non invasive, non pharamacological treatment called Neurocranial Restructuring This is what was effective for relieving my head pain. Everyone is different, and what is effective for one may not be for another. This is just what was effective for my head pain.
Good luck to you in your search!
All the best to you, your name is fitting, you really are sweet.
With any med, I usually only take 1/4 to 1/2 of what is prescribed. I find I can get some benefits that way, while minimizing side effects. Some meds cannot be split - you have to check with your Dr & pharmacist, because in some cases it will change the chemical properties.
Zoloft is the med I was put on, and it worked great for me - I only went on 1/2 the prescribed dosage. And it still was tough to get off of.
I would say, continue to look for natural means, but also do what you need to do to treat the pain & depression in the meantime.

It might not be the right anti depressant for you. You really need to talk to your doctor about how you are feeling. Please do not quit this drug cold turkey, it needs to be tapered off slowly.
I took Celexa for my depression, and I take topamax for my migraines. I had a rhizotomy two years ago which helped greatly with my migraine pain.
There are many options out there and I hope you find some relief soon,
