I was recently in a polyamorous relationship (please don't judge me) with my husband and boyfriend. A few nights ago my boyfriend broke up with me and told me he would not get back together with me unless I make a change. I want to change but I'm not sure how.. I've made an appointment for cheap mental health care (it's all we can afford) but those places are not very great for real counseling and treatment. I guess I'm just being negative. This situation is further complicated by the fact that I have a 4 month old daughter and we are all living together.

It seems hopeless because everything I read says that BPD is virtually untreatable.. it's a part of your personality.. it is so hard (and some people even argue impossible) to change your personality. If someone could help me make the first few steps, I would be greatly appreciative.

Right now, they took my daughter and drove 6 hours away (they let me know right as they were leaving) for the next couple of days. I think I've already made some progress because normally I would completely throw a fit, but it only bothered me for an hour or two. Now I'm just sitting here researching what I can do for the next couple of days.
