Body Modification Support Group
Body art is a modification of any part of the human body for artistic or aesthetic reasons. It can range from the socially acceptable decoration (e.g., pierced ears in many societies) to the religiously mandated (e.g., circumcision in a number of cultures), and everywhere in between. This is a place to share your body modification experiences and ask questions.
Tattoos - take longer so pain lasts longer but isn't as intense, though they can hurt like hell. It's hard to describe. And it's sore while it's healing. I've got my back done, both legs have full sleeves, right arm fully sleeved, chest piece, some writing on one side of my ribs, under my right boob and on top of my feet. Worst places to have done were front of knee and right at the top of my inner thigh. Easier was my arm. Again, think of an idea you like, seek recommendations for artists, go to them and discuss your idea (including placing) and they'll draw you up a design. Go for quality over cheapness.
When healing a tattoo I remove the cling film when I get home and shower it, using an antibacterial hand wash. Then I leave it open the rest of the evening. That night again shower it, cream it with bepanthen and cling film it overnight. Wash, cream and wrap again in the morning. In the evening wash and leave open until bedtime then wash, cream and wrap. Do this for 3 days then after that just moisturise.
