Split the tounge?

I've gotten all my tats that i've wanted (8) and all of my piercings that i've wanted (8) and now i've been wanting to get my tounge split. Normally I just go and get stuff done. I'd like to get as much info from someone who HAS it done, not just from the guy doing it. A lot of the people around here who does them, hasn't had a lot of people get them done.

1) What type of healing time frame are we looking at?
2) I know the tounge heals well, but hinderance on eating?
3) Will I need to have it recut after it's initial heal?
4) Most important question: Does it feel as sexy as it looks?

I really suggest you rent the documentary Modify. It discouraged me from ever thinking about tongue splitting. Seriously rent it or get it from netflix.

sorry if this is bitchy or harsh but I really into body mod and i want to be a piercer i just think tongue splitting is really stupid,i dont think its attractive and its not worth it.

I suppose those are good aggressive reasons to not do it. I now got it done, it' didn't hurt as bad as I thought. The tounge heals pretty fast. If I was attractive I wouldn't live ina bunny suit o.O.

Regardless, I appreciate the comments. Always good to have Honest comments over all others. I did watch Modify over the computer here, haha I actually found it compelling.

i have thought about getting my tongue split, but i dont know and well i currently like my tongue piercings i have now (they are shown in my photos) and well i dont know.

That's so interesting, I had no idea people even did that. Well, you do you. If you enjoy it and it makes you feel more like yourself, right on.

I wouldn't do it personally, as I'm mostly just into lots of tattoos, not the heavy heavy body mods some people do.

Enjoy, though.

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
