So I'm getting my first tattoo(YAY ME!)I'm so excited. I've been dying to get one for SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO long! But it's gonna be in an extremely sensitive spot, my foot. I wanna know if there is anything I can do to make the pain less so I don't jerk my leg or anything else so I won't mess up my tattoo. It's not a relatively big tattoo, but because I've only had piercings and never a tattoo the pain will be completely different. This is what it would look like. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)

I wouldn't recommend any kind of numbing ointment solely because it could distort the colors of the ink (imo) the best thing to do is not to drink any alcohol a few days prior because it dehydrates your system and makes thing more sensitive. stay hydrated lay back and listen to some music. some people are intimidated by the gun so if you cant hear it you wont think about it.

I rather can a tattoo then a piercing in the pain department. I rather get scraifaction over a piercing too. Its more like a dull pain with a tattoo, but everyone is different.

i have a tattoo piece on both of my feet. i had it done with a liner, and the rule with tattoos are that the fewer the needles, the more the pain initially. (for example, a shader may have several needles, but a liner only has one or two). this was my first tattoo as well, and it was pretty painful. i normally have a pretty high pain tolerance, (i have seventeen piercings). the shading on the feet is not quite as painful as a liner, but after the tattoo artist is done, it will hurt and ache like a sunburn. i can't tell you exactly how it will feel; because everyone has different reactions to pain. get something to distract yourself, like listening to music, talking to a friend, or watching tv while the artist is working. bring something to squeeze. you will shake and vibrate a little, but just stay focused on anything but that. if you have any more questions, i would be happy to answer them. and this is a link to my foot tattoo piece. http://pinterest.com/pin/169588742188925357/

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
