So I'm a high school senior and i just had to drop an AP Gov class because the teacher just wouldn't accomadate me, he wouldn't get anything turned into braille and he thought he knew everything about my vision and kept telling me to get magnifiers. So my VI teacher and counselor made me drop the class, but now i feel like a failure because like people are going to think I just gave up and i wanted to prove to everyone I could do it i feel like i proved to everyone how stupid i am and that i gave up when im not stupid.... :( idk if this makes sense I just wanted to vent and see if anyone else ever had this happen i guess.

You are not a failure at all. That teacher has no concept of what your vision is like. magnifiers don't always cut it. especially if it is blurry. & your VI teacher & counselor were very wrong in doing that. Talk about destroying your confidence. Schools should be doing the opposite of this. in my opinion you shouldn't worry about what others think about you and move forward.

This brings back so many memories for me as a student. i struggled alot trying to get thru school and my work. U r not a failure by any means. In fact, u having the wisdom to stand up to the teacher and ask for what u need and then have the wisdom to drop the class when ur needs aren't being met is adult thing to do. Poeple have no concept of our struggles, that's ignorance. Him teling u what u need, that's arrogance. Hang in there. I hope everything works out.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
