I am bisexual, and I have definitely come to terms with that and have embraced my sexuality. My sister, on the other hand, has had a lot of struggles with her sexuality. She wants to embrace it but is dependent on my parents who are very against any part of the LGBT community. She is 23, has a three-year-old son, and does not have the means to be self-sufficient. My dad is a Christian preacher who is very much anti-LGBT, which is why me being bisexual and having a girlfriend is a general topic that goes in the "do not discuss" pile when we are all together.

They are aware, but I have never actually sat down to talk about it with them. It's something that we just don't talk about. I am always very open about my sexuality and my relationship on social media and in person, but it's just not something I feel I can talk about with my family. But that is okay because I am up at college, which is over four hours away from them. But my sister doesn't have that luxury and is terrified of telling them, but it's not really something she can avoid because it is really just eating away at her. She is having increased anxiety over the fact that they don't know. She can hardly sleep, she bites her nails until they bleed, and her health is spiraling downward, so she has to talk about it. 

She wants me to talk about it with them when I come home this weekend, but I have no idea what to do or say or how I even approach the topic with my family. Do you have any advice on how to start the conversation and just get through the situation?
