Bisexuality Support Group
Bisexuality is a sexual orientation which refers to the aesthetic, romantic, and/or sexual attraction of individuals to other individuals of both their own and the opposite gender or sex. Most bisexuals are not equally attracted to men and women, and may even shift between states of finding either sex exclusively attractive over the course of time.
I'm in a moment in my life where I have no answers for the very same questions you make, because I also feel that being bi is even harder than being gay, because not even gay people are willing to accept that you can be faithful and that you're NOT confused about who you are.
What I've been considering is not telling people I want to date that i'm bi from the get go, except if they ask. A "friend" suggested that I should tell guys i'm gay and girls i'm straight, but I will never lie about who I am to build a relationship. I figure however, that if this person gets to know me better and see that i'm really aware of myself and that i'm not a cheater, they'll better understand and accept my bisexuality, but this is just an idea that I have.
I don't think I can add much to your experience because i'm younger, but if you want to talk or something, message me.
Hopefully, it will be easier in you age group. Younger folks are often more open minded about this. But it will take time for male bisexuality to be more accepted.
I face a strong possibility I will always be alone. Though I still try.
I don't know if i'll ever find acceptance but i'll certainly keep trying. Where I come from, people are really close minded, even at my age. What do you mean when you say that "inside, I will have both"?
Yes, not giving up is important. It can be hard. I often feel like a soldier fighting a hopeless battle. But still fights.
I have only been with women, always knew I was Bi, just was happy with being with women, planning the wife and kids life etc, did that from high school till my late 20's. I even fell in love with one.. ironically she came out to me as gay, left me and took my heart with her, after that it seemed women became more of a sexual interest more then romantic. I began to think I would never love again as I could and would care for these people the feelings just were not strong and I slowly became a recluse, going out less and less and did the loner route.
Few years ago it hit me one day, I had another part of my life I didnt know much about, no physical experience to speak of, so I started to slowly research and make sure this was indeed a solid part of my life.
So here I am feeling like Im living my late teens again in my 40's :), not in high school but a virgin again with all the worrys any one would have adding the Bi in the mix. This can be a hard life for us all, Im just happy there is more communication and understanding out , it really has been refreshing and comforting to read from others like yourselves the past few weeks.
