Hi Durn...I've heard a LOT of people talk about bi men as if it's impossible for any male to be bisexual. I don't understand it. Most people assume that if a man is "bi," that it's a phase & he'll eventually come out as gay. That being said, I know several bi men who are 30+ yrs old & they haven't come out as gay...so clearly it doesn't seem to be a phase.

I don't know of a great deal of straight women who would be into a bi man, but have you considered dating other bisexuals? Male or female, you're bound to experience a more understanding group of people!

You are right that many try to say male bisexuality doesn't exist (women and some gay men). Well it does. I am proof. I have not been promiscuous and would be totally faithful. But most still will not want to date me if they know. Dating a bisexual man or woman would be good. But it is not easy finding someone. LGBT groups include bisexual in their names. Step in the right direction, but often don't have anything specifically for bisexual men. There aren't bisexual hang outs like gay hang outs.
That is why many bisexual men keep it secret. Or don't call it bisexual. The name itself has negative impact for straight women and a number of gay men.
On the one hand you want to be honest and true to yourself. But in the case of male bisexuality, it often means isolation and loneliness. Life with no romance. Especially if a romantic, serious relationship is what you want.

not all women are so closed minded. afterall, i married a man who was open with me and told me when we first got together that he was bi. i even met some of his ex's who were men. it didn't bother me or make me think he was any less capable of being faithful to me. there is hope you just have to find the right woman who will love and accept you just the way you are. or maybe you will find a man... who knows. all i know is that when you find the right person you won't care what all those other women said because what matters is the one willing to accept you and love you just the way you are.

Tell your husband he is a very lucky man. You are one in ten million to accept it. Most women wouldn't. Even if I were straight, it would be difficult. My interests and such are not mainstream. The bisexuality sometimes feels like the straw that broke the camel's back. I have never found anyone to have a relationship with. Dates tend to be few and not good. I have had plenty of bad dates and some mediocre dates. Never had a really good one.
I have been fortunate in other ways. Good career. Everyone has their problems. I don't mean to sound like a whiner. But I have been basically alone for over 20 years. I want to find someone special and I continue to try. I am on multiple dating sites for example. But I feel that there is almost no realistic hope of me finding someone special. I don't know where to meet someone with some common interests and such who will accept and love me for me. I do not have self esteem problems. I am just being realistic. I will be 41 next week. I will almost certainly be spending my birthday dinner alone with a book.

well apparently he didn't think he was that lucky. he told me shortly before christmas that he wanted to seperate. it all depends on what your interests are. and i feel there is someone out there for everyone. call me a fool or a hopeless romantic who knows. i'm crossing my fingers for you. sometimes a book is better company then society anyways

I am truly sorry to hear about the separation. Some people just don't know a good thing do they? I hope things work out for you.
I try to keep my chin up. I hope to find someone, but I don't think there is much hope in it. I sometimes wonder if I would have better look with a man or a woman. Loneliness for over 20 years is really hard. Plus I work hard and keep up with my responsibilities.
