Bisexuality Support Group
Bisexuality is a sexual orientation which refers to the aesthetic, romantic, and/or sexual attraction of individuals to other individuals of both their own and the opposite gender or sex. Most bisexuals are not equally attracted to men and women, and may even shift between states of finding either sex exclusively attractive over the course of time.
My daughter is 16 and just came out as a bisexual. Are there any support groups out there? I just want to make sure I surround her with love and do the right thing.
Let me applaud you for trying so hard to e there for her whatever your feelings you have made her life 1000 times easier and that's what a parent is supposed to do.
In an earlier post you mentioned that you knew how to protect the her from boys but not support her or set limits on her.. From what I remember as a teenager my parents set the same limits on me that they would have had I been straight. I realized that is what they had done and I appreciated that, because they I knew they were treating me like they would have if I had been straight. Now trying to protect me they went little farther which I resented but now realize they did right
It doesn't matter what a parent does or doesn't do there is going to be some area where they are going to go to for or not far enough I'm sorry this has been so long, but there was so to cover. I was a i teenager once my self, I was even raped I don't mind talking about it. So if you or your daughter wants to hear about it or even the group I will talk to you about it, maybe I can keep some other teenager from going through it to.
